Vernice Young Dalrymple, 70, of 926 Oddfellow St., Sanford, NC entered into eternal peace on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025 following a brief illness at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn, NC .

Vernice served several years in the U.S. Navy,  and Navy Reserve Unit with Honorable Discharges from both units.

Vernice is survived by siblings: Johnnie Mae Taylor, Md., Priscilla Dalrymple, Sanford, Ernestine Cooper, Va., Ellestine Dalrymple, Va., Chester Cooper, New York, John Willie Dalrymple, Jr. (Mary) Ga., Rev. John McNeill (Lynn) Sanford and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday Oct. 25,2025 at 2:00pm at Bostic Kendrick Funeral Chapel, 1300 Pennsylvania Ave., in Southern Pines, NC

Interment will be delayed until Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Sandhill Veteran Cemetery, Ft. Bragg, N.C.
