Obituary

Daisy Bell Williams Worthy, 87 of 507 Martin Street passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at her home.

Graveside service will be conducted on Friday morning, October 21, 2022, 11 am at Lee Memory Gardens. No public viewing and no wake.

Rev. Iris Jordan and Rev. Gerome Williams presiding.

Daisy Bell was the daughter of the late Curtis and Minnie Banks Williams. She had 6 brothers who preceded her in death. She was the youngest of seven and the only girl.

Daisy was married to the late Freeman A. Worthy over 60 years, who passed away on September 28, 2022. Two children were born in this union. She was a graduate of W.B. Wicker School, class of 1954. Daisy was a member of Star of Hope Baptist Church and later joined Freeman at Fair Promise A.M.E. Zion Church. She worked as secretary at Lee Elementary School and secretary/receptionist at Southern National Bank (BB&T, Truist) during her life.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory along with their Dad's memory two children: daughter, Loucheur W. Farrar (Bernard) of Houston, Texas and Tensely Worthy (Pattie) of San Diego, California; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, many friends and Me.
