Born on October 27, 1957, to the late Vernon and Annie Miller of Pinehurst, Beverly lived a life rich in love, faith, and dedicated service to others, leaving behind a profound legacy of laughter and affection.
In 1978, Beverly united in marriage with Fred Leon Ruth. Together, they lovingly raised two sons: Leroy K. Townsend, who preceded her in death, and Christopher Leon Ruth of Godwin, North Carolina.
Beverly was a lifelong learner, dedicated to both personal and professional growth. She pursued her passion for justice by graduating from Sandhills Community College with a degree in Criminal Justice. Her academic journey continued at Campbell University, where she earned a degree in Political Science.
Her faith was a cornerstone of her life from an early age. Raised in the church, Beverly's melodious voice graced the choir, and she committed her life to Christ early on. Her unwavering trust in God remained a powerful constant throughout her journey. She exemplified her faith through compassionate service, profound love for her community, and a selfless devotion to those around her.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Fred Leon Ruth, and her son, Christopher Leon Ruth. Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren: Taleeyah Stephens of Southern Pines, Leroy Detekric Townsend of New Jersey, Brooke Townsend of Wyoming, De'lanie Stephens, and Talia Graham.
Beverly also leaves behind her parents Vernon and Annie Miller and a loving husband of the home a loving circle of siblings: Vanessa Miller and Barbara Miller, both of Eagle Springs, North Carolina; Vernon Miller, Jr. of Rockingham, North Carolina; Theoplus Miller of Fayetteville (Ernestine) North Carolina; and Johnny Marsh (Annie) of Raeford, North Carolina.
Her extended family includes her niece, Carmelitha Miller, and nephews, Terrance J. Collins, Brantley Miller, and Theoplus Miller, Jr. She is also fondly remembered by her aunts, Maddie Dockery and Tina May, both of Concord, North Carolina, and her uncle, Michael Moore (Joanne) of Concord.
Through her family and every life, she touched, Beverly's spirit will continue to live on, a beacon of strength and love. We take comfort in knowing that she rests peacefully, her beautiful journey completed. Beverly was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
