Mrs. Arnetta Alston Maness, age 95, of Biscoe, NC, peacefully departed her earthly life on April 4, 2026, at FirstHealth Hospice and Palliative Care in West End, NC.
Mrs. Maness will be fondly remembered for her dedicated years of service with Montgomery County Schools as a substitute teacher, as well as for the lasting impact she made within her community. Known for her warm spirit, delightful sense of humor, and unmistakable pizzazz, "Ms. Net" brought joy to all who knew her.
Arnetta was preceded in death by her husband, Maston Maness Jr, her son, Maston Maness III, her siblings, Mary A.Weathers-Ewing, John "Jack" C. Alston, & Donnell Alston.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Daughter , Beverly Brower (Harry); Son , Michael Maness (Beverly); Special Niece, Deborah Alston; Siblings, Cammie Bowden of Candor, NC and Emmett Alston (Alice) of Taylortown, NC. Seven Grandchildren, Tenisha and Taquana Dunlap of Biscoe, NC, Jasmine Davis (Webb) of Jacksonville, FL, Sabrina and Shelby Frick of Tyler, TX, Derrelle Maness (Jennifer) of Greenville, SC and Matthew Tyson of Greensboro, NC. 11 Great-Grandkids and a host of other nieces and nephews, relatives, & friends.
Special thanks to First Health Hospice House of Pinehurst, NC & Mary McMillian whose care and compassion meant so much during her in-home care.
She will be deeply cherished and forever held in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 2pm with public viewing and visitation one hour prior to the service (1-2p). Service will be held at the Biscoe Community Center (Old Biscoe School).
Interment will be at the Lewis Liles Cemetery, Biscoe, NC.
